Susan Tomai

Looking at a row of monitors in the control room of "Good Morning America" one day in the late eighties, producer Susan Tomai had an epiphany. Too many CEO's and politicians were squandering a priceless opportunity on national television - failing to get their key messages across in a way that would sell products, advance and agenda, or win votes.

So she started the media training and presentation training business that would become Oratorio and has since built a reputation as one of the world's leading communications training specialists, counseling hundreds of business executives and public figures for interviews, crisis situations, speeches, presentations, and encounters with financial analysts and investors.

Susan has won several Emmy awards for her television work, as well as public relations industry awards including two Silver Anvils, the IABC Gold Quill Award, and several PRSA Certificates of Excellence and Commendations. She holds degrees in speech and drama from Marymount University and in mass communications from Emerson College, as well as a Certificate in Organization Development from Georgetown University.

Bill Connor

Bill Connor hates to see executives and officials waste their time and there's no bigger waste of time, no greater missed opportunity, than a badly written, lackadaisically delivered presentation. So Bill specializes in helping high-level professionals crystallize their key messages and deliver them in clear and compelling ways, in interviews, speeches and presentations.

Before joining Oratorio in 1997, Bill worked as a White House television correspondent and anchorman for twelve years. He has received numerous professional awards for his work, including an Associated Press citation for excellence in investigative reporting. He holds a B.A. in French Literature from Vassar College and an M.S. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.

Sally Romansky

In eleven years of practicing law and nine years on the board of a fast-growing non-profit, Sally Romansky regularly addressed large and small audiences on everything from the interpretation of complex laws to organizational change to fundraising - so she knows first-hand the value of delivering a memorable and cogent presentation. In her practice at Oratorio, Sally coaches attorneys, executives and professionals of all kinds, showing them that powerful presentation skills are an essential ingredient of professional development.

Sally joined Oratorio in 2005. Previously, she was a Partner in the health law/public policy practice at McDermott, Will and Emery. She is also the former President of the Board of Imagination Stage, a non-profit children's performing arts center. Her children's middle-grade novel, Invincible! , was published in Spring 2006. Sally graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in American Studies from Yale University and received her JD from Harvard Law School, cum laude.

Claudia Vaca

Claudia Vaca has a keen sense of what it takes for foreign officials, diplomats, businessmen, and lawyers to communicate effectively in a multitude of international settings. Her twenty years of experience in corporate, government and diplomatic circles informs her clear understanding of how to craft messages for the ears of investors, U.S. and international government policy makers, environmental and social interest groups.

Before joining Oratorio, Claudia served as Executive Vice President and General Counselor of an independent oil company in Colombia; as an Investment Promotion Manager in Moscow, Russia; as Minister Counselor of the Colombian Embassy in Washington and Investment Promotion Director in Bogotá, Colombia.
